Operations Manager
Join DNO as our new Operations Manager.

DNO has entered a new phase. Following the acquisition of Sval Energi, we have become one of Norway's largest independent oil and gas companies, with interests in around 30 producing fields, multiple development projects and an ambitious growth agenda on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Growth creates opportunity.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help lead the operational performance of our offshore portfolio—ensuring safe, reliable and efficient production while helping shape how operations evolve in a company where decisions are made by the people closest to the business.
If you enjoy combining technical authority with leadership, and want your experience to influence both daily operations and long-term strategy, we'd like to hear from you.
A role at the centre of our operations
Reporting to the VP Production, you will take ownership of operational performance across DNO's operated subsea assets while supporting our wider Norwegian portfolio.
You will work across the full operational value chain—from integrity management and production optimisation to maintenance strategy, risk management and operational readiness.
Internally, you'll collaborate closely with colleagues in Production, Engineering, Projects, Asset Management and Subsurface.
Externally, you'll represent DNO towards host operators, licence partners, regulators and service providers, building strong relationships that support safe and efficient operations.
This is a role where your judgement matters. Where technical credibility creates influence. And where experience is trusted.
Your responsibilities
As Operations Manager, you will:
Lead day-to-day operations for DNO's operated subsea production systems
Ensure safe, reliable and efficient production through strong operational leadership
Oversee subsea integrity management, maintenance strategies and fitness-for-service assessments
Drive barrier management, process safety and operational risk management
Manage interfaces with host operators and technical service providers
Support subsea intervention planning and execution
Provide operational expertise to development projects and non-operated assets
Ensure compliance with company management systems, regulatory requirements and industry standards
Contribute to operational strategy, continuous improvement and competence development
Represent DNO in technical discussions with partners, regulators and industry stakeholders
Who we're looking for
You have spent much of your career building technical expertise and operational judgement.
You understand what it takes to safely operate offshore production assets, and you're comfortable making decisions where safety, reliability and commercial performance all matter.
Ideally, you bring:
A Master's degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Around 20 years' experience within offshore oil and gas operations
Extensive knowledge of subsea production systems, coupled with a thorough understanding of platforms and downstream systems
Strong experience with integrity management and production-phase operations
A successful track record of working across organisational boundaries, e.g. with host operators, technical service providers and joint ventures
A broad technical understanding of offshore facilities’ operations and maintenance systems
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across organisations
Professional engineering accreditation and relevant offshore certifications are considered an advantage.
Why DNO?
There are larger organisations.
There are more specialised organisations.
Few combine technical complexity, operational responsibility and the opportunity to influence the business quite like DNO.
We are large enough to operate an extensive and growing portfolio of offshore assets—yet agile enough that experienced professionals have direct access to decision-makers and genuine influence on how work gets done.
As our North Sea business continues to grow, you'll have the opportunity to help shape not only today's operations, but how we develop the organisation for tomorrow. DNO describes its strategy as combining operational control with an entrepreneurial culture, technical excellence and the ability to move quickly when opportunities arise.
Our culture
Our values are simple.
First. Fair. Firm.
We believe in taking initiative, acting with integrity and delivering on our commitments. We expect openness, professionalism and collaboration, and we encourage people who are willing to challenge constructively, share knowledge and contribute to a strong One DNO culture.
