Head of Asset Management
Build the Asset Management function for one of Europe’s most ambitious AI infrastructure platforms
About Fossefall
Fossefall is a Nordic AI infrastructure company established in 2025. We develop and operate AI factories powered by renewable energy, transforming clean Nordic energy into scalable infrastructure for artificial intelligence.
By combining energy, technology and digital infrastructure, we are building sustainable and sovereign AI capacity for Europe - in partnership with local communities, energy producers and technology leaders across the Nordic region.
Head of Asset Management
As our first projects move towards construction and future operations, now is the time to establish how Fossefall manages its assets throughout their operational life.
We are building the Asset Management capability early so it can influence how assets are designed, handed over and managed – and scale with the portfolio we are building.
As Head of Asset Management, you will lead this work from the owner’s perspective, with responsibility for asset performance, commercial value, risk and lifecycle optimisation across Fossefall’s growing portfolio. You will report to the CFO and work closely with Operations, Project Delivery, Technology and Finance, as well as external partners including lenders, insurers, OEMs and contractors.
This is an opportunity to shape the Asset Management playbook from the beginning and build a function that will play a central role in how Fossefall creates and protects long-term value.
The role
You will take an end-to-end view of the operational asset following handover from Project Delivery, covering both data centre infrastructure and AI/compute infrastructure. Your role is to ensure that performance, risk, commercial interests and long-term asset value are actively managed throughout the asset lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
Establish and develop Fossefall’s Asset Management framework, governance, processes, KPIs and reporting across the portfolio.
Represent the owner’s perspective throughout the transition from development and construction into operations, ensuring assets are designed and handed over with effective long-term management in mind.
Own the framework for asset performance, monitoring availability, utilisation, operating costs, revenue and returns, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability and long-term value.
Lead the owner-side management of key operational contracts, including O&M agreements, service levels, performance guarantees and supplier relationships.
Build and manage strategic relationships with OEMs and critical technology and infrastructure providers, including warranties, performance guarantees, defects and supplier dependencies.
Develop long-term lifecycle, CAPEX and investment plans, balancing operational performance and resilience with long-term asset value and evolving technology requirements.
Work closely with Finance on asset performance, financial planning, lender requirements, insurance and project-finance obligations.
Establish clear interfaces between Asset Management, Operations and Project Delivery, ensuring Asset Management maintains its owner and value mandate while Operations remains responsible for day-to-day service delivery.
Build the Asset Management function as the portfolio grows, including the capabilities, resources and operating model required for the next phase of Fossefall’s development.
What we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced asset management professional with a strong combination of commercial, operational and technical understanding. You have experience managing complex, capital-intensive infrastructure or energy assets from an owner, investor, infrastructure platform or operator perspective.
You will ideally bring:
Significant experience in Asset Management, Infrastructure Management, Operations Management, Commercial Management or a related owner-side role.
Experience managing long-life, capital-intensive infrastructure or energy assets.
Strong commercial and contractual understanding, including O&M agreements, suppliers and key service providers.
Proven experience with asset performance, KPIs, lifecycle management and CAPEX planning.
The ability to translate technical and operational performance into commercial and financial implications.
Experience working across technical, commercial and financial disciplines and with complex stakeholder environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills.
A structured and pragmatic approach, with the ability to establish effective processes and governance as an organisation and portfolio grow.
Experience from data centres, power infrastructure, renewable energy, telecom, industrial infrastructure or other mission-critical or technology-intensive infrastructure is highly relevant. Experience working with project-financed assets, lenders, insurers, OEMs, warranties or performance guarantees is also valuable.
Who you are
You think like an asset owner and are motivated by creating and protecting long-term value. You are commercially curious, comfortable challenging suppliers and stakeholders when needed, and able to move confidently between strategic decisions and operational detail.
You build strong relationships while maintaining a clear owner perspective. You are comfortable working in an evolving environment and enjoy creating structure, processes and ways of working that enable growth without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Most importantly, you want to be part of building something ambitious from an early stage – and have the experience and judgement to help shape how Fossefall’s assets are managed for the long term.
